Easy Homemade Meatloaf

Ingredients
Ground beef 1 pound
Oatmeal ¼ cup
Egg 1
Medium onion ½, diced small
Ketchup ¼ cup + ¼ cup for topping
Steak sauce 1 tablespoon
Salt 1 teaspoon
Basil 1 teaspoon
Garlic powder 1 teaspoon
Brown sugar 1 tablespoon
Dry mustard ½ teaspoon
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Combine ground beef, oatmeal, egg, onion, ¼ cup ketchup, steak sauce, salt, basil, and garlic powder in a medium bowl.
- Mix with your hands until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
- Pat into an oiled 5×9 loaf pan, or equivalent.
- For the topping, combine ¼ cup ketchup, 1 tablespoon brown sugar, and ½ teaspoon dry mustard. Stir well.
- Pour the mixture over the top of the meatloaf and spread evenly to the edges.
- Cover the meatloaf with aluminum foil.
- Bake at 350 degrees for one hour. Uncover and bake for 10 minutes.
