Are you hoping for a beautiful, golden-brown turkey this Thanksgiving, but in the past, you have basted and basted, yet haven’t achieved that crispy, golden-brown skin?
The answer is easier than you think!
Rub the whole turkey down with a few tablespoons of whatever type of oil you are using for the stuffing. I use a blended soy-canola oil, but you can also use olive oil or even butter.
Drizzle the oil over the entire turkey and then rub well, making sure to get into the folds and around the legs and wings.
You can put a strip of tinfoil on the two sides of the roasting pan and then tent it up over the top, but make sure to leave an opening.
Happy Thanksgiving!
