This easy 30-minute meal will rival or surpass any takeout lo mein. It is protein-packed and full of flavor. It goes well with a side of your favorite steamed vegetables.
Sesame Tofu Lo Mein Serves: 2 People- recipe can easily be doubled.

Ingredients
Tofu ½ pound
Lo Mein ½ pound
Soy Sauce ¼ cup
Rice Vinegar 2 tablespoons
Toasted Sesame Oil 1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon
Chili Garlic Sauce 1 teaspoon
Garlic Powder ½ teaspoon
Directions
- Cut tofu into about 1inch thick slices.

- Cut tofu into bite-sized cubes.
- Heat 1 teaspoon of sesame oil in a small frying pan.
- Toss tofu in the oil to coat and fry or sauté until tofu is golden brown.
- Remove tofu from oil and set aside in a small dish. Bring a medium saucepan of water to a boil and add lo mein. Set the timer for 4 minutes.
- Mix soy sauce, rice vinegar, 1 tablespoon of toasted sesame oil, chili garlic sauce, and garlic powder in a medium-sized bowl, whisk rapidly with a fork or small whisk into a frothy, uniform sauce.
- Add scallions and whisk briefly.
- Stir in tofu.
- Drain the lo mein and add it to the tofu sauce bowl.
- Serve topped with a sprinkle of sesame seeds.
